Wen Hair Oil!
I am loving the Wen Hair Oil by Chaz Dean. I love the entire Wen Ethnic Hair Care line, but since I got Sisterlocks I can only use the oil. This line is expensive, but my hair gets what my hair wants and needs. My hair is soft ya'll.

My Afro Puff

For this simple afro puff all you need are a few perm rods and your baby brush. You can put your scrunchie in and curl the hair that pertrudes from the scrunchie and your bangs. As you can see I did not curl the hair in the back, but I will if I wear this style another day.

OMG...I AM IN LOVE!!!
So I was reading Blaqkofi's post about using a nail brush on her locks to smooth her hairline. I did not think twice about it. That same night my son happened to pick up his baby brush and stroked my hair with it. I felt a sensation I hadn't felt in a long time. I quickly took the brush from him and started brushing my hairline with it. I went a step further and brushed my entire head of hair/locks with the baby brush. I felt a wonderful sensation I thought I would never feel again
. I could feel my scalp being stimulated and my locks felt and looked tamed and neat afterwards. I can enjoy my Sisterlocks on a whole new level since I can once again brush my hair. My son keeps trying to comb my hair and I feel bad and even guilty that I could not allow him to do so, but now I can give him my new hair brush and let him have at it! Thank you son and Blaqkofi!

Notice that the bristles on my baby brush are rather dense which works PERFECTLY.

Head & Shoulders
Head & Shoulders advanced Restoring Shine shampoo infused with natural plant extracts, and gently purify scalp and hair to restore a natural shine while leaving hair 100% flake free. Gentle and pH balanced. Click on the link to find your shampoo.
Well, like most folks with locks I have had to deal with dandruff and itchy scalp. I decided to "grease" my scalp with my husband's Head and Shouders Shampoo. I only "greased" the problem areas which is the top/front of my head and crown. I did not lather with the Head and Shoulders at all because I am only using it as a scalp treatment. I got in the shower and rinsed the Head and Shoulders shampoo away, then I actually washed my hair with my favorite shampoo. Worked like a charm! No more itchy scalp and dandruff! HOORAY!!

Sisterlock Style
So I went through a period of looking pretty sloppy as far as my hair goes. Basically, with a two year old I didn't have enough time to spend on my hair...unil I got a great idea. I decided to started styling my hair at night so that by morning I just have to finger style and go.

Frustrated!!!
I started with 12 inches of hair, but now the top of my head is only about 2 inches long. How in the world did that happen! To boot, my locktician is convinced that I cut my hair...not! Why I would cut the top of my hair is beyond me. Anybody else experiencing this?

Variation to the flat twist
I took the flat twist shown below and secured a portion of the back on the top of my head with a nylon black rubber band. I pinned hair around the rubber band so that the rubber band was not showing. I took the left front and pinned it at the top of my head so that hair was hanging from the right side only. They style took about 5 minutes since the flat twists were already there. What do you think?

Basket Weave
This was just a bad day. A poor (but first time) attempt at a basket weave style and a bad photography day.

Corn Rows
This is how I accomplish my twistouts. You can also wear these cornrows out and about.....if your locktician did a good job creating your parts. Thanks Angie! I sometimes curl the ends under with Soft Spike Curlers which is something every locked (Sisterlocks & Traditional Locks) sista should own to create endless styles.

Flat Twists
I have been using Nubian Kinks Liquid Hair Vitamins which is an awesome smelling leave-in conditioner, moisturizer, and strengthener. My Asian co-worker repeatedly commented on how good my hair smelled and he asked if he could touch my hair which is a compliment. He also ask me repeatedly if I have a date which is his way of complimenting my appearance because he knows that I am married. In contrast, he never made such comments prior to my Sisterlocks. I also use Nubian Kinks Sheen Spray for a glossy sheen and HealthyLocks Daily Conditioning Mist for softness, sheen, and moisture. When I touch my hair it feels really soft so I assumed that I would have oily hands, but guess what...no oily hands, just softness and moisturized locks. These products are a keeper!
On another note, maybe it is my imagination, but it seems like my hair is shorter than it was when I started. I guess my hair is still bunching. I will be glad when the length starts.
More flat twist pictures. This is actually day 2 of my flat twists. The pictures above are day 1.

Accents Your Style
I left a lock out on the side to create an accent curl. You can do the simplest things to make your lock style unique. Plus, I like to show off the versitility of Sisterlocks. You can sorta se the style below.
Here is another style. I stuck 3 decorative hair pins in my pinned up hair.
